We award grants to Bay Area non-profit organizations and currently make grants in four areas: literacy and curriculum, schools, extended learning and after-school or summer programs, and systemic change. Learn more
How do I apply?
Silver Giving does not accept unsolicited grant proposals.
However, we aim to be aware of leaders in the Bay Area. If you feel that you fit with our goals and approach, please send us brief, relevant materials to describe your work and programs. If your organization aligns with our mission and there is an opening in our docket, we will contact you to learn more. Please understand that we are committed to long-term relationships with our grantees and cannot invest in every organization doing good work in our community. For this reason, we are often unable to accommodate new requests for funds. Learn more
What is the timing of your grant cycle, and what is the deadline for proposal submission?
We have a semi-annual granting process with dockets in the FALL and SPRING. If you are a current grantee we will contact you two to three months prior to the proposal due date to schedule a visit to your site. Should we decide to invite your renewed
