Introduction

We believe that all children are capable of succeeding in and strengthening our global, 21st century society.

Grounded in this belief, we make grants to local youth-oriented organizations who demonstrate successful outcomes for the people they serve and who work toward a common good. We build open, long-term relationships with these partners to help them build capacity for improvement. Our grantmaking relationships allow us to identify promising practices and compelling solutions to pressing education challenges.

Our work is most meaningful when we contribute our learning to the education community at large. Toward that end, we build networks among our partners and add our knowledge – promising practices and compelling solutions – to policy work at the local and state levels.

Through grantmaking, relationship building, and collaborative policy work, we believe that we can be part of the effort to ensure that all California students thrive.
